We are excited to announce that Bill Ritchie, AOC has joined the Unified Door & Hardware Group team in the capacity of Business Consultant.  Bill was most recently Chief Operating Officer with Allmar Inc., a similarly large multi-branch contract hardware distributor headquartered in Canada.

Bill’s career has spanned 28 years in the Door and Hardware, and Security industries including; contract hardware distribution, manufacturer’s representative stocking agency, architectural specification consultant, and system Integrator. Bill is also an active volunteer with the Door and Hardware Institute including positions on the Certification Council, the Board of Governors, and 15 years as an instructor in their education program.

Bill’s primary responsibilities will include providing advice and assistance to the UDH Group and members in areas such as:

  • Overall long term planning, setting strategies and overseeing objectives
  • Helping us work as a cohesive group, while increasing organic growth
  • Supporting expansion into electronics, access control and door automation
